Moog suspension parts are known for their excellent quality and solid design. But it takes more than a clean reputation to prove how consistent its tie rod ends are when it comes to your vehicle's handling. To find out which tie rod end would provide optimal steering effort, we've installed a Moog tie rod end on our Grand Cherokee and test-drove it through highway traffic.

PROS
- The part's forged steel components had grease fittings that were obviously not seen on the original part. The Moog tie rod end's robust design made it is easier for us to pump grease into to the part and keep it well-lubricated for a more efficient performance.
- Since all hardware and grease fittings were included, we installed the part without any problems. Even a novice with limited car knowledge can easily accomplish the installation.
- During our test drive, we noticed that our Cherokee's steering worked well and has gone considerably tight for better handling.
- These tie rod ends were beefier than the stock, as well as most of the other brands out there. It was a bit thicker, which showed the strengthened durability of the part. After running for 4 months (4000 miles) with the Moog tie rod ends, the part seems to still be intact and functioning properly.
CONS
- The Moog tie rod end does not have an additional option to insert a spacer. It would have been nice to have this option in order to increase the steering travel of our Grand Cherokee.
- The threaded shaft included with this part was a bit longer than OEM units. We had to loosen the jam nuts and use it as a gauge to tell the correct alignment of the part.

Its muscular construction and heavy-duty material ensures that it can withstand most abusive road applications with ease. Installation can be a bit tricky compared to most tie rod ends, but once you've gone through the process, your vehicle can experience a more stable and comfortable ride.
