I need help with this product. The white plastic slot if Im not mistaken is supposed to move freely out of the box so I can put it in the down position to slide the window into place. But I cannot for some reason even budge the white slot up and down along the track. Is the product fauly? This is my second ordered one and it still won't move.Collin C.Aug 08, 2021
Best Answer:Hello! No, the white part should not move freely. You could plug in the part and activate the regulator with your window switch if you need to move it before attaching the window.

I replaced the window unit in our 95 E300.
The installation process was nearly flawless: the pigtail on this unit exits at a different point than the OEM but a single zip-tie corrected this.
This unit is not OEM grade (motor is smaller, frame is thinner gauge) but it is a fraction of the cost of OEM (under $100 versus over $300).
It works perfectly. Very satisfied.

had some trouble lining up the bolt holes (could get in either top or bottom, had some trouble getting both at once), but whatever. motor is smaller than OEM, can hear the difference w/ the Replacement (higher pitch, clearly working harder to move the window). motor gave up the ghost after ~5 months. would not recommend, low quality.
