Searched internet to see where it should be located on my '03 S10. The kit is very generic and will fit all GM's.As noted in my cons my kit didn't have the instructions or template but still if you are mech. inclined one should have no problems. Tested tailgate and worked great after installation. I assume this is in the instructions but you have to switch the latch rods R.to L. L.to R..Anyway now it's on to body work and paint
