Step Bumper, Powdercoated Black, Face Bar And Pads
2008 Ford F250 Super Duty replacing a very rusty bumper..
The hardest part was removing the old bumper. Here in upstate NY rust is a problem (this being said). I was able to bend up what was left of the old bumper and use my acetylene torch to cut off the nuts on the outside end of the bracket (4 nuts). I did not use the provided new brackets and did not have to crawl under the rusty truck, everything matched right up. I also used the old gaskets from the license plate lights, the new gaskets just did not compress well in the cold. The new lights are brighter than the old. Note: be sure the large black wire with white stripe is connected the frame (ground), if not your lights will not work, this is by the trailer plug
Trailer outlet: running lights: brown with white stripe, backup: black with green stripe, ground: white, brake: dark blue, left turn: yellow, right turn: orange, battery charge: red
This is what I found on a 2008 F250 SD, your wire colors may be different
