I own a 1981 El Camino, and have owned it since it rolled off the assembly line, and have done most of the work on it myself. I changed the roof rail weatherstripping about fifteen years ago with products bought from GM and it wasn't much of a task, however these seals are not OE in design and require that you get the seals aligned precisely with the angles and bends in the roof rails, and then will require a lot of adjustment (tilt, in/out, upper and lower stops, front to back, etc., on the window glass itself. If you haven't done this before, or lack lots of patience, it would be a good idea to have them installed by a glass man with experience in the classic car field. Make sure that you align the top part of the seal first and then work your way down the sides and don't use any adhesive until you have the fit exactly as it should be. Also if there are any issues with the door glass guides or the door alignment itself correct that before trying to align the glass with the new seals.
