These work great 👍 just loosen the nut for the folding joint In the mirror. It won't unfold easily unless you do. If you're looking to install a passenger side mirror on your vw and the car doesn't have one stock . Drill a hole in the same place as the driver's side a small one so you can see where the hole is behind the door skin. Then you'll need a mirror nut.
