This part is an identical replacement for the front hubs off my 1990 Dodge W250 and took 20 minutes to swap out requiring screwdrivers, socket wrenches, and a snap ring pliers. My 4wd is now functional and I am happy. I suspect that under-lubrication led to breakage of the old unit - as well as 25 years of service. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations and remove the cap to add some chassis lube periodically - say every 2 oil changes. Also be sure to lock the hubs to allow the lube to spread once a month or so.
