The StrongArm lift support is made from a chromium-plated hardened steel rod and glossy finish heavy gauge steel body. It is designed with self-cleaning orifice that keeps the piston area free of contaminants, reduces clogging and prevents lock up.

Very satisfied with purchase.
Everything about the supports is great-from the ordering process to their appearance an function. I have had them on for 1 month and they work like the originals. But at a greatly reduced cost than what you could spend having your mechanic order and install them. Be careful when you insert/tighten the bolts. My suggestion is to insert each bolt once without any load so they enter freely and start with the bolt on the door. While inserting the bolt on the vehicle body, have a helper 'fine tune' the weight of the door since any pressure will skew the bolt and can be hard to fully insert. Otherwise the installation is a breeze.
