I have a 2008 Infiniti G37 sport coupe and because I’m doing very limited driving (and only short trips) have been raising and lowering my hood DAILY to hook up trickle charger so my battery doesn’t die; seems that is partly the cause (as well as the car’s over 13 years old) for these hood struts to not function reliably, so need to replace them. If I get a “helper” to hold up the hood while I replace them, do I need to purchase the “lift support clamp” for this likely only one-time use, Mia? Btw, I’m a (old) “girl”!Lindy T.Apr 30, 2021
