On the 2014-2018 Toyota 4Runner for models with the chrome trim on the bumper, it will bolt directly into the lower section of the front bumper.

It works. Drill holes in the dimples smaller than the mounting screws supplied. I put a dab of blue thread lock on the screw. Be careful not to over tighten the screws cause you could easily strip out the plastic.

License plate brackets are a little tricky on Toyota 4Runners. There are subtle bumper changes depending on the trim model. The one I bought from you for my 2018 Limited was a perfect fit, and less expensive than Toyota dealer.
