Best Answer:I had the same issue and could not find a remedy so I cut the plate holder to fit the curvature of the bumper. I wish you luck.

The product is good overall, quality ,size everything on my 2016 Suburban, only thing is that I was only able to put the top screws because the bottoms needed to be longer.
