It works, but it sucked that I had to drill out the dashboard hole because the new switch was too big a diameter to fit in the original dash hole! Needed it, so went ahead and drilled out the dash, and ruined my 73 Commando permanently! And then the cap isn't deep enough, or the threaded stud is too long to enable it to tighten all the way against the dash! Sheet metal doesn't get any thicker than on a 50 year old Commando dashboard, so I don't know WHAT they were thinking when they made this replacement part.
