The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) was created by automobile insurance companies to oversee a test program guaranteeing the suitability and consistent quality of aftermarket automotive parts meeting or exceeding the OEM quality, CAPA certified (with a yellow sticker certification on the part). However, for the non CAPA, keep in mind that being non-CAPA certified doesn't necessarily mean lower quality. The parts are just as good but the manufacturer chooses not to pursue CAPA certification in order to cut costs. This hood is temporarily out of stock this time. Great fit - threads lined right up and closed perfectly the first time with no adjustment. Shipping put a good sized dent in the front of the hood - I managed to bend it but this will require a little body work when we paint it because there is a clear crease where the metal was bent.
