Driver And Passenger Side Headlights, With Bulbs, Halogen, With Wiring Harness
Good service and great price
I actually bought both driver and passenger side replacement headlight assemblies for my 2010 Outback. One side was ok but the other had a strange margin on one side of the light pattern. I contacted CarParts and, after sending them a picture, they sent me a return label for the defective headlamp and immediately sent me a replacement which arrived in just a few days and worked satisfactorily. These made the car look almost new. There is a single 12mm screw on each assembly that adjusts the height of the beam (like the OEM part there is no horizontal adjustment) and I had to turn them quite a bit counterclockwise to get the beams correctly aimed. Be aware that the low beam lamp in these assemblies is not held in place with a spring clip like the OEM part so you can't reach through the wheel well to change the bulb. It is instead held in place with a bracket that is screwed down with two screws so, if you need to replace the low beam bulb you will have to remove the front fender, same as is necessary to install these assemblies. There are numerous videos online that show how to do it. Despite this annoyance, I have rated these 5 stars because they cost just a bit more than half of the OEM part and the service from CarParts was very good. If you own a 2010-2012 Outback and your low beams frequently burn out, you might try manually turning the headlamps on and off as there has been the suggestion that the auto daylight sensor might be the cause of the failed bulbs.
