Here's what I wrote in a post on a Facebook forum for owners of small motor homes like mine built on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis: "After 139,000 miles and lots of hours in the hot Texas sun, both headlights looked like the one on top in the photo. Yes, I had TWICE used a kit involving various "grit-levels" of abrasives along with polishing agents, and I once paid a local auto body shop to try to clear them up, all with very limited improvement. I even tried applying WD-40, OFF, and Coca-Cola (from tips I read online -- no luck). I decided I needed to replace both complete headlight assemblies, but the service department at my usual Mercedes dealership told me to expect to pay "around $2200" (parts and labor) for them to do it. I searched online and bought BOTH headlight assemblies (including bulbs) for $301 (total) including tax and shipping (<a href="http://Carparts.com" target="_blank">Carparts.com</a>). I watched a YouTube video on the replacement process. Pretty easy, even for an English major with no auto body experience. I'm very happy with the results, and especially with saving over $1,800.
