Best Answer:Hello, This is a plug-and-play headlight with, same specifications as the original parts. It's often easy to change a headlight. They can be quickly popped out from behind the headlight housing, unplugged from wiring, and take off the old headlight. We also recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. It may require basic automotive knowledge for proper installation and professional installation is always recommended. Best Answer:Hi, This will not match with the HID headlights since the bulb type and mounting is different from each other as well as the wiring harness. You cannot interchange both straightaway. You will need a headlight conversion kit - HID to halogen to make it work. Please consult with your local auto supply store for availability.

Works great on 2004 Cadillac SRX, replacing HID's with these with one very small alteration needed
Went on a 2004 Cadillac SRX: Overall great fitment and look just like my original headlights. My headlights were the annoying HID type, and I say annoying because the ballast keeps going out on them within a year or so. I'd rather just buy regular bulbs because of my many issues with the HID system. Note for these particular regular headlights to replace the HID ones, I had to trim off a small tab of plastic for the factory harness to plug in correctly... looking at the headlight end where the wire harness plugs in, comparing the outermost short small tabs, one is closer in than the other, the closer one is the one that needs to be trimmed off. Compare side by side with HID units before installing and you will see the small difference in the one small outer tab. I removed it carefully by putting utility blade against tab and pushing away from me, never cut towards yourself. Obviously I'm not liable for any of my claims made here, I'm conveying my experience. A set of headlights for less than half of one HID headlight, yes please. (One headlight assembly got broken open from a blown tire)
