We have a 2003 Ford F150 with an extended cab and a 5.4 Triton motor. The existing fuel tank was rotted out so my son ordered a replacement on line about 8 months ago. Took the bed off and removed the old tank with in tank pump. Went to install the new tank and found that the depth of the new tank is deeper than the original equipment tank. From the pump flange to the bottom of the tank on the original tank is approximately 11 1/4". On the new tank the distance from flange to bottom of tank is approximately 13 1/4". Obviously a difference of 2". So any replacement pump I have looked at is too short to reach the bottom of the tank. I am assuming that might be a problem. Any suggestions?RellboAug 14, 2022
Best Answer:Hello! I'm not seeing a different part number for a fuel pump that fits in the larger tank, but I would contact your local Ford dealership to confirm that your original fuel pump will work.

Do not buy off this website !
The tank looks differently, it is not gonna fit the vehicle. It is taller and shorter than the original one, so the holding straps are too short.
