Wrong part for a 1998 Camaro
This part is manufactured incorrectly and has two problems. The fuel sending unit is held in by a different type of retaining ring than the factory. The filler tube has the wrong type of gas cap. The gas cap which is supplied with the tank will not work, it is the thread type used on 1997 and earlier Camaros. The factory gas cap will not work either. 1998 used a one year only gas cap, I an not certain what type of gas cap should be used with this part. There are no instructions included with the part to help guide through these issues. I ended up returning the part and reusing my existing gas tank after spending hours cleaning the inside.
