Best Answer:Hi Adam, I'm glad to help you out. This part comes with 2 supports already welded to the floor panel. The common repair method is to trim the old and new, create a stepped flange around the perimeter of the replacement panel, and install it with a lap weld because butt-welding is difficult. However, butt-welding is the right way to do any replacement panel. We recommend referring to a good video for step-by-step instructions. It may require basic automotive knowledge for proper installation, and professional installation is always recommended. The nice thing about floor pan replacement is that it's really not all that complicated, disassemble what's left of the original, trim and fit the new one, and reverse your disassembly procedure.
