Best Answer:Hi Andrew, I'm pleased to assist you. No. Evap and EGR are not the same. EGR ((Engine Gas Recirculation) is re-burning exhaust gases reintroducing back into the intake (diluting) side of the engine. EVAP is dealing with the fuel fumes generated in the gas tank and is also introduced into the intake side of the engine to reduce fumes and emissions.
