Best Answer:Hi, The catalytic converter is not for making the sound loud. You can replace the muffler with one designed to amplify the sound of your vehicle (aggressive). Glass packs, straight-through exhausts, and straight-pipe designs will significantly increase the sound output over a stock muffler. Add a sound-amplifying exhaust tip. Increase the size of your exhaust pipes by 1/2-inch to 1-inch in diameter.

Great Quality and Price!
Great OE quality parts to fix a P0420 or P0430 SES code! The kit comes with all new Hardware and Gaskets which is nice being that other manufacturers like Bosal and Magnaflow make you find and purchase the correct Hardware Kit separately! Easy to install no welding required just nuts and bolts that have to be removed and replaced! Nice quality welds throughout the assembly and the Downstream Assembly is nice and thick aluminum and has a nice silver powder coating that will definitely help against corrosion. I would recommend this over the Dorman OE CAT assembly since there was a recall on this for the Nissan Altima/Maxima/Sentra model years 2000-2009 but they go and stick the same one into the 2010-2013 models! I have seen posts of Altima owners CATs going out after just 42,000 miles and an average life of only 80,000 miles! Mine went out at 98,000 thankfully! I would go with the Evan Fischer or the Walker OE replacement over the Dorman any day!
