Check the "Vehicle Emission Control Information" sticker usually found underneath the hood or in the engine bay. Federal emissions stickers will just say, "This vehicle conforms to U.S. EPA regulations". California emissions vehicles will state, "This vehicle conforms to U.S. EPA and State of California regulations". If your emission is California, then this is not the right part and will cause the check engine light. This is covered by a 30-day return policy.
