Best Answer:Hello! It is very important to replace a faulty catalytic converter, as they can break internally, restricting air flow and preventing the engine from expelling heat. The most common failure is called a "burnt valve" and is a very costly repair.

The part was exactly as it was described. My mechanic was very impressed that it came with everything that was needed to get the job done. The only thing that maybe should be done differently is not paint the exhaust because the smell that comes off of it as it heats up is quite overwhelming at first. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase! We will see how long it lasts and hopefully review again later on. I do plan on buying the driver side exhaust now as my Xterra does have a small crack on that side as well. Super fast delivery and the product was in perfect condition. I'm finding it on sale at an unbelievable price was a very welcome surprise!
