Compared to the original OEM chrome trim it replaced, it is about 1/8” shorter on both ends and with slightly flatter curve. As a result it was near impossible to get the retention tabs to engage the bumper. After extensive heat gun aided modifications, it finally engaged on both ends to the extent where it would actually stay in place without freely sliding out from underneath the pad. The middle tabs however, are still about 1/16”-1/8” too short to engage their corresponding locations as intended. Ended up putting some double sided 3M installation tape to make sure it stays in place, as any stronger tug on the trim would pull it out from its position. The trim looks good, is made out of strong and durable polymer, but the difference in size and resulting installation issues would keep me from buying again. It almost seems like shrinkage that occurred after hot polymer was cooled after removal from cast. Surprisingly not made in China, yet still falls short of its design goal.
