Rear Primed Bumper Cover, L/Le/Xle/Hybrid Models, Capa Certified
This is the one to get.
If you’re looking for a good review, I’ll give it to you since it’s hard to find. Great quality bumper cover, set it out in the sun like they say to do and within only an hour it had taken shape on a halfway sunny day. I let it sit out longer and it was just fine. I did take a heat gun to a couple spots just to fine tune it by hand, nothing serious. If you use a heat gun, apply heat evenly and do not rush it. Take your time so you don’t destroy the plastic and you’ll be just fine. Prep was time consuming of course, sanded it down with 320, got the deeper scratches out with an 800 pad like a dish pad. Doused it with a few coats of wax and grease remover until water would sit on it and not wick away. Sprayed it down with 4 coats of adhesion promoter. (Necessary for flexible material like a plastic bumper cover to prevent paint cracking/chipping in flex areas. Also, I did 4 coats because this is my first time painting anything and I had a run in it so I had to sand a spot lol.) Sealing it with a gray primer as we speak. I’ll do about 4 coats of that too, let it cure, then I’ll lay base and clear. Bumper cover is looking great! Can’t wait to put it on. Also, I should mention it looks as good as an OEM cover from Toyota for a fraction of the price.
