Even though they fit, is it stupid to get drilled and slotted rotors for my 2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE? I need a rotor that is high enough quality that I won’t have to worry about warping from heat any time soon and that’s why I clicked on these Z23 rotors. I also must have ceramic pads and have never heard of these carbon fiber ceramic pads. Are they just a step above plain ceramic? What is the benefit of carbon fiber ceramic over just ceramic pads?Brian H.Oct 14, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Brian, Thank you for reaching out. No, it is not. The drills and slots on the rotors help with heat dispersion. The same can be said for the carbon-fiber ceramic brake pads. At high temperatures, carbon-fiber ceramic materials are also less resistant to deformation or warping. The mixture of carbon fiber in the pads makes it, as you say, a step above plain ceramic.
