The disk pads on this order only lasted 4 months . I understand I did a lot of stopping during Rush hour. Should at least lasted 6 months

I need a rotor that is high enough quality that I won’t have to worry about warping from heat any time soon and that’s why I clicked on these Z23 rotors. I also must have ceramic pads and have never heard of these carbon fiber ceramic pads. Are they just a step above plain ceramic? What is the benefit of carbon fiber ceramic over just ceramic pads?Brian H. / Oct 14, 2021
Hi Brian, Thank you for reaching out. No, it is not. The drills and slots on the rotors help with heat dispersion. The same can be said for the carbon-fiber ceramic brake pads. At high temperatures, carbon-fiber ceramic materials are also less resistant to deformation or warping. The mixture of carbon fiber in the pads makes it, as you say, a step above plain ceramic.
