I have a 2015 ram 1500. The lower control arm is after market, it looks exactly like the truedrive one. Is the Ball joint an over size and what is the size of the side that gets pressed in ?I took the old ball joint out and whent to put a new one in and it fell right in. I try several ones that what is called for and there all small. I found that the old ball joint I took out is about a 10th or so bigger than the ball joints that they're calling for.Frederick M.Feb 07, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Frederick, This Lower ball joint covers from 2009 to 2018 Ram 1500, the ball joint should easily go in and match since this ones conform with the Factory OEM specifications. But if your control arm is not factory OEM, which means that might be for a lifted suspension type, the control arms and ball joints would be different. Also, on some occassions, the control arm and ball joints differ if the drive train is either 4WD or 2WD type. To carefully check look up again the correct part for your vehicle, please follow the steps below.
