Q:How do you know which one you need to replace? My check engine light came on today. Only thing it is doing is like Idle up and down at 45mph any speed faster or slower it is fine. The PCM monitors the difference between engine speed and transmission output speed. It could mean a failing torque converter or a low transmission fluid issue.
