Sigh of relief
The alternator part is now installed in my Chevy. My mechanic friend was able to install the part, without any trouble. The unit is working well, as shown on my new internal gauges. I did have to pay a substantial shipping cost. However, the delivery time was pretty good, & the overall cost ended up less, than if i bought the unit locally.
