I watched a YouTube video w/ a guy replacing this exact car model & assembly like I'm doing. He shows to drill out the rivets that hold the window & the assembly to the door but either mine aren't the same type of rivets or something cuz the center of my rivets appear to have threads on them as if the center of my rivets are actually a threaded bolt rather than what a standard rivet consists of. Which is why the guy in the videos were easy to drill out & mine are ANYTHING but easy to drill out, more like impossible to drill out... Is there some models that use different types of rivets than others? Like a threaded bolt style of rivet that's practically impossible to drill out?Tyler B.Apr 15, 2022

It's possible that someone has already replaced your regulator assembly once, drilled out the rivets, and installed screws. If that's the case, you just need to unfasten the screws instead of drilling.

It moves the window up and down when power is supplied to an electric motor or, with manual windows, the window crank is turned. I was thinking about purchasing this for my 04 Lincoln Town Car ultimate but thought I would ask before I did so. Window actuator works great but was a little hard to adjust. After I hooked it up it stopped 3 in from the top so I had to loosen all the bolts torque it just a little bit.
