Scissor-type Regulators

In cases wherein the scissor-type assembly is power-operated, the regulator is then fitted with a gear that engages with the teeth to move the arms. If there is no power motor, a manual crank lever is used instead.
Cable-type Regulator
This type of window regulator is commonly installed in most modern vehicle models. In a cable-type system, a power motor or manual crank moves the cables to a window tray. Since these cables suspend the complete load of your vehicle window the window glass will directly fall into the door panel in case it breaks.
