Faulty factory-issue power window regulators are one of the most reported issues of the Jeep Liberty (KK). What Is a Window Regulator?
A window regulator raises and lowers a car door’s window. Manual regulators work with a hand crank, while power regulators use energy from an electric motor to operate.

Like other mechanical assemblies, a window regulator can develop problems when its parts break off from their mounts or fall apart. Commonly affected parts include the cable, driving gear, pulley, and regulator carriage.
Signs of a Faulty Jeep Liberty Window Regulator
Most issues related to Jeep Liberty (KK) power windows involve the window regulator. The window either stops running or it stays in the up position without budging.

A plastic flexible tube holds the electric motor and the carrier together. Finally, the carrier uses a flimsy pin-and-spring clip to support the window glass.
When one of these three mechanisms break, the power window regulator starts acting up. A broken regulator can affect other assemblies that share the door panel, such as the door locks.
Repairing these issues typically involves swapping out the factory-issue Jeep window regulator with a sturdier assembly.
