It is potentially dangerous, especially on the freeway, because steering wheel vibrations can be caused by a worn-out wheel hub. A damaged wheel hub may come loose from its mount, which simply means there’s a chance that there’s a possibility that you can lose a wheel while cruising. The dangers of this include loss of control, damaging other vehicles with the detached tire, and collision.
Loose wheel when vehicle is lifted from the ground
You can inspect your wheel by jacking up your car and shaking the tire by holding it on two opposite sides. If you can shake your wheel from its position, it means there’s a play and they aren’t secured properly.
