Your car’s computer will set the code when it determines there is a significant leak in the EVAP system. Possible causes are a faulty gas cap, the charcoal EVAP canister being cracked/damaged, or the fuel tank pressure sensor being defective. It is not necessarily the vapor canister vent solenoid. It is most likely a cracked or damaged vapor canister.
