Product Questions & Answers

Q:my flasher works both sides but flashes fast then slow then fast again  either side same trouble. new flasher? Show Less
Ellsworth B.
A:BEST ANSWERHi Ellsworth, I'm glad to assist you. A fast or erratic flash rate of the turn signals (hyperflash) can be an indicator of various issues within the turn signal circuit. While a faulty flasher relay is one potential cause, there are other factors to consider as well. A burned-out or incorrect bulb in one of the turn signal circuits can cause the flasher to operate at a faster rate. If you've replaced incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs without adding load resistors, the lower power draw of the LEDs may cause the flasher to operate more quickly. Adding load resistors to the circuit can often resolve this issue. For us to double-check carefully and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete details of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, 2WD/4WD, and engine size). The VIN would be helpful. You can also call our parts specialist on our toll-free number, 1-866-529-0412 (Mon to Sun). Show less

A:BEST ANSWERHi John, thanks for initiating contact. Replacing the turn signal flasher on your 1988 Chevrolet K2500 Silverado, all engine sizes could potentially solve the issue of all your signals not working. The turn signal flasher is a component that controls the flashing of the turn signals, and if it malfunctions, it can lead to issues with the turn signals not working properly. Symptoms of Malfunctioning Hazard and Turn Signal Flashers
Symptoms of Malfunctioning Hazard and Turn Signal FlashersThe hazard and turn signal flashers are either separate or combined into a single hybrid system. These flashers are what give your hazard and turn signal lights their eye-catching on-and-off blink. This blink is achieved when the flasher opens and closes the turn signal circuit.
