Customer Reviews

This is an exact fit for the original tie rod end on my '83 Mercedes 380 SL. The only problem I have with this product (I've used 4 of them) is that the grease fitting hole in the body of the tie rod end is not threaded to accept the Zert fitting. It must be forcefully started and carefully aligned to get a good connection. Other than that, it works perfectly but that's why it only got 4 stars for quality. A word of note: Both tie rod ends on this car (inner and outer) are identical except for the opposite direction of the threads. The rods can be reversed (mine were) so make sure you order the correct direction of thread for your replacement and don't rely on the manual which states that both inner rods ends are identical in thread direction...as are the outer.
