Best Answer:Hi Greg, The bumper face bar is the steel part of the bumper that may have the necessary provisions for the plastic step pad pieces to snap into and other pieces. This step bumper does not require those but has the provision for the trailer ball. The maximum towing weight is the same as the OE standard rating. Please refer to your vehicle's manual for the towing capacity.
