The shock absorber and strut assembly is designed to be very durable, since it has to take care of dampening the vibrations caused by uneven road surfaces or rocks. It can, however, get worn out due to the road condition the car is regularly driven on. Even without inspecting it, some symptoms can be observed to diagnose a problem with the shock absorber and strut assembly.
