Signs That There is Something Wrong with Your BMW 530i Radiator
The radiator in your car helps in maintaining a cool temperature under the hood. When the radiator fails, your vehicle will have a difficult time cooling down and that could lead to engine overheating. It's not uncommon for radiators to break down, and the BMW 530i radiator is no exception. Below are some signs that indicate failure in your car's cooling system:
Coolant leak
If you notice a trace of coolant seeping out from the underside of your vehicle, you need to check your radiator reserve tank for cracks or holes. Sometimes, the leak can be very bad that the amount of coolant inside the overflow reservoir becomes nearly used up. When this happens, you need to seal off the openings where the leaks are coming from. Doing so will help you save on coolant and make your radiator function efficiently.
Oil contamination
When radiator coolant from the overflow reservoir mixes with engine oil, you can be sure that there is an internal gasket problem in your vehicle. Radiator fan breakdown

You'll need to get one of those test strips to check the alkalinity of the coolant and to determine whether you need to have the coolant flushed out.
Make sure that the radiator fan is working properly.
The radiator fan may not be the central component in a cooling system, but it helps in dissipating heat from the engine by blowing off cool air. When the cooling fan fails to operate, no air will flow to the engine. This decreases your radiator's cooling power, and you need to fix the problem immediately. Sometimes, all a radiator fan needs is a little cleaning. You can use s small brush to remove the buildup of dirt on the fan blades. However, missing components like the fan shroud can hamper the efficiency of the fan. Install one right away to keep your radiator functioning properly.
