Q:2019 GMC Acadia where is the Thermostat located?
Victor
A:BEST ANSWERHi Victor, I'm pleased to assist you. The thermostat in a 2019 GMC Acadia is located under the intake manifold, on the passenger side of the engine. It is bolted to the engine block and has two hoses connected to it: one from the upper radiator hose and one to the water pump. To access the thermostat, you will need to remove the intake manifold. This is a complex job that should be done by a qualified mechanic. We have the thermostat with the housing and the thermostat gasket. Let me provide you with the two links below to complete your order while supplies last. Thermostat housing - https://www.carparts.com/search?q=thermostat_housing&vehicle[model]=Acadia&vehicle[make]=GMC&vehicle[year]=2019&can=CPGG4850_CSQA_20231024 Thermostat gasket - https://www.carparts.com/search?q=thermostat_gasket&vehicle[model]=Acadia&vehicle[make]=GMC&vehicle[year]=2019&can=CPGG4850_CSQA_20231024 The part that you have chosen is a purge valve which you may also need to replace. If so, use the link below to directly place your order while supplies last. P0444 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open
P0444 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit OpenOn vehicles with an Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP), fuel vapors from the gas tank are stored in a charcoal canister. Under precise operating conditions, the PCM opens the purge valve to draw the vapors from the canister into the engine’s intake manifold. The vapors are then burned as part
P2407 Code: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Intermittent/Erratic
P2407 Code: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Intermittent/ErraticA leak compromises the effectiveness of the EVAP system by allowing fuel vapor to escape into the atmosphere before it can reach the intake manifold. To counteract this potential problem, the leak detection pump sensor constantly checks the pressure within the system. If the pressure drops without explanation, there is
P0458 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Low
P0458 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit LowThe purge valve sits on the line between the EVAP canister and intake manifold and only opens when the engine is running under certain operating conditions. This then creates a vacuum in the EVAP system.
