Product Questions & Answers

Q:Where on the engine is this part located?
James
A:BEST ANSWERHi Jimmy, I'll be happy to help. We don't have diagrams available for every vehicle. The purge valve is most often located in the engine bay on a hose going from the intake to the canister. It can also be located near the fuel tank. I hope this helps. You can use the link below to return to the item page. Have a good one. https://www.carparts.com/purge-valve/replacement/rb38430001?can=cpab2020 Show less

P0444 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open
P0444 Code: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit OpenOn vehicles with an Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP), fuel vapors from the gas tank are stored in a charcoal canister. Under precise operating conditions, the PCM opens the purge valve to draw the vapors from the canister into the engine’s intake manifold. The vapors are then burned as part
P2407 Code: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Intermittent/Erratic
P2407 Code: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Intermittent/ErraticA leak compromises the effectiveness of the EVAP system by allowing fuel vapor to escape into the atmosphere before it can reach the intake manifold. To counteract this potential problem, the leak detection pump sensor constantly checks the pressure within the system. If the pressure drops without explanation, there is
