Q:Had the pump installed professionally. The pump is making a whiny noise, almost sounds like a supercharger (not the same noise as bad pump when turning) we got all the air out of the lines.. it has a constant whine, even when not turning, and increases slightly as RPM climbes. Any idea? Show Less

A:BEST ANSWERHi Ben, Since the air was already taken out from the lines, the whine is usually created by a problem with the power steering fluid that the pump is trying to move. Since your pump is drawing fluid into the rotor and vanes from the return reservoir at a vacuum, air can also be pulled in if there are any loose hose connections. Show less
