Not a car repair guy
I got this because the car wash messed up the auto folding mechanism in my stock mirror unit. Was able to do the replacement myself without too much difficulty. The mirror that comes with this fills up much more of the mirror housing making my blind spots smaller and I feel that I can see more. Might make the switch with the passenger side mirror, too. However, this mirror does not fold electronically, which I didn't realize when i purchased because I wasn't paying close attention.
