How does an overlay work when the original dashboard is severely cracked and challenged?Heidi Y.Aug 11, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Heidi, I'm pleased to assist you. The overlay or dash cap's purpose is to cover those cracks and damages. There must be enough portion of the original dash for the attachment. The dash cap should fit snugly over the entire dash. Clean the underside of your Coverlay dash cover. Align and secure it with tape, weights, and wedges (placed between your windshield and dash cover). Apply the silicone adhesive provided in your kit to the underside of the dash cover.
