With MSD’s DIS dual coil ignition modules, it’s now possible to use an MSD DIS-2 or DIS-4 ignition system with modern coil-per-cylinder ignitions systems. The DIS dual coil ignition module reads and converts the signal from your coil-per-cylinder ignition to make them compatible with their DIS-2 and DIS-4 systems. From ignitions to distributors, starters to coils, from spark plugs to plug wires, there’s an MSD product to help you get the most out of your engine.

As per the manufacturer, this MSD Dual Ignition Coil Ignitor allows for the installation of an MSD DIS-2 Series Ignition Control and MSD Coils on vehicles with factory transistorized/driver style coils. It achieves this by inverting the logic signal from the ECU and creating a high current output to drive an inductive coil, or points input of an MSD Ignition Box.
