How do I remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder from the steering columm?  I have already removed the shear bolt, but the lock cylinder will not come off.Richard C.Mar 25, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Richard, I'm glad to assist you. Here are some general steps to remove it: 1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder: Insert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it to the "on" position. Look for a small pinhole near the base of the lock cylinder. Insert a small screwdriver or pin into the hole and then pull the lock cylinder out. 2. Install the new lock cylinder: Insert the new lock cylinder into the housing and turn it to the "on" position. Ensure that the lock cylinder is properly aligned and then press it into place. 3. Reinstall the ignition switch: Install the ignition switch and tighten the bolts that hold it in place. Reconnect the wiring harness to the switch. I hope this helps.
