Best Answer:Hi Rodney, thank you for reaching out. As per the manufacturer, this product requires Anti-Theft Reprogramming Equipment for installation. Please refer to a factory service manual for the necessary procedures to install and program this part. Failure to perform the required reprogramming may cause the vehicle not to start or function properly. Replacement lock assemblies, cylinder sets and keys no longer come with an immobilizer unit. In most cases, when the part failure is not related to the immobilizer, you will need to transfer the immobilizer unit from the old part to the new one. The transponder in the key supplied is an empty cloneable blank and will not start the vehicle. It will not work with the factory learn procedures. The information from the original key needs to be transferred to the key provided using a cloning tool available at many locksmiths.
