Product Questions & Answers

Q:Where is this part located on the 09 chevy malibu?
COREY M.
A:BEST ANSWERHi Corey, I'm glad to assist you. The 2009 Chevy Malibu does not have a traditional Idle Air Control (IAC) valve like older vehicles. Instead, it uses an Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) to control idle speed. The Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) is located on the intake manifold, where the air intake hose connects to the engine. Instead of an idle control valve, the throttle body has a built-in electronic motor that regulates airflow for idle control. You forgot to mention if you have a four or 6-cylinder engine. The throttle body is different for each type of engine. Still, it is best to call our parts specialist for real-time, live, and immediate assistance on our toll-free number, 1-866-529-0412 (Monday through Sunday). Show less
