2001 Grand Marquis. Hood won't pop up when the release is pulled, must pry up with screwdriver. Is the spring that is supposed to pop up the hood in the hood part that goes into the latch? Is the hood part included with the latch as it isn't pictured.E J.Nov 23, 2021

Best Answer:Hi Paul, I'm glad to help you out. This part is guaranteed to fit the 2001 Lincoln Town Car For Models With Secondary Catch. This mechanical part should work. Check for the release handle and the latch cable if it needs replacing. If you don't see obvious problems, just lubricate the latch with penetrating oil. It may also help to lubricate the cables with a spray lubricant. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.
